Te Awamutu Community Toy Library

The Te Awamutu Community Toy Library (TACTL) is a not-for-profit charity organisation proudly run by a team of dedicated group of volunteers. We provide Waipa based whānau with quality toys to support play-based learning, for tamariki aged six months to seven years.

The TACTL lends toys, puzzles and games to support children in our community to grow and learn through play. Aimed at children with different abilities between babyhood and around six years old, including those with special needs.

The TACTL has an impressive collection of over 800 toys and these are arranged in easily identifiable sections, which include toys for babies, ride-on toys, puzzles, outdoor, wheels, trains, duplo, farm, and domestic play. These include music, large active toys, coordination, construction, fantasy and imaginative play, STEM toys, puzzles and family games.

Established in 1991, the Toy Library has been proudly serving the community for over 35 years. Our mission is to promote childhood development through the power of play, offering a diverse collection of toys, games, and educational materials.
