Te Awamutu Community Toy Library (also referred to as TACTL) provides toy library service to Waipa residents, and allows members to borrow toys, games, and educational materials for a specified period, promoting sustainability and reducing waste.
To become a member, simply click on Join Now on our Homepage. You will need to enter some details, and once your account has been set up, we will e-mail you with your account details
Our Toy Library offers a wide range of toys, including educational games, outdoor toys, puzzles, board games, and more. We aim to cater to various age groups and interests.
The borrowing period is typically 2 weeks (except for Party Sets, which can be borrow ed for 1 week), and members can renew items if there are no pending reservations.
The fees for toy hire vary from $0.50 to $3. These fees contribute to the maintenance and expansion of our toy collection.
Members are responsible for returning toys in the same condition they were borrowed. Accidents do happen, so please contact us as soon as the toy is damaged, and we will asses if the toy can be repaired or will need to be replaced. The members are responsible for the cost of either outcome.
Yes! We welcome donations that align with our guidelines. Please contact us before dropping the donated toys off. Please be aware that we cannot accept toys that have been damaged, or are not safe for our little customers to use.
To reserve a toy, simply log in to your account, using the e-mail address that you used when registering with the Toy Library, then you can find the toy that you would like to reserve, and select the dates that you want to reserve the toy for.
